What data we process and why

This page explains which data we process when you send a request or visit this website, why, for how long and what rights you have.

This privacy policy applies to cmginternationalmoving.com. We process personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR.

Hosting and server logs

This website is delivered via Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, the page requested and your browser to deliver the site securely and quickly. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. When you type a place or address in the form, the text you type (from 3 letters) is sent to Photon (komoot GmbH, Berlin, OpenStreetMap data) so we can suggest matching streets and addresses. Photon also receives your IP address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in easy input (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Quote requests, guide and email

When you request a quote or the guide, we process the data you enter: name, email, phone number, origin and destination, moving date and volume. We use it to answer your request and prepare your quote (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The details are stored in our CRM HubSpot (HubSpot, Inc., stored in its EU data centre, certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) and forwarded by the form service Web3Forms (Web3Creative, India) as an email to our Microsoft 365 inbox. Required fields are needed to send you a quote; without them we cannot process the request.

If you message us via a WhatsApp button, WhatsApp opens (WhatsApp Ireland Ltd., Meta). WhatsApp's privacy policy then also applies. We only use your messages to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Cookies, consent and measurement

Without your consent we load no measurement or advertising services. The only necessary cookie stores your cookie choice. If you agree, we load Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd.) and the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) via Google Tag Manager, depending on your choice, to measure which pages and ads bring requests (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Transfers to third countries

Some services also process data outside the EU and UK, mainly in the USA and India. For the USA we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension, otherwise on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Storage period

Requests that do not lead to a move are deleted no later than 3 years after the last contact. For moves we keep data as long as commercial and tax law require. Your cookie choice is stored for 12 months.
